Mark's Inspiration for this Series

When I was a kid I had a pet rooster. I loved that this animal had become part of our language with a word so aptly chosen that it described my buddy to a "T": ...."cocky."

N ow as I watch my son's pet roosters, I recall the lesson of, "size means little and attitude is everything."

They seem so suited to their surroundings with their bold colors matched only by the Tis and crotons. Their contrast in the forest is acute and heightened by their indomitable character.

Rooster Tales

The gallery logo, a rooster, has special meaning to the Daniells family. We have had roosters and chickens as pets through the years...raising the orphaned, the injured, as well as our rooster "Spike" hatched by a lightbulb. Spike goes to the beach, rides in the car, and on occasion, walks through the house. They are all members of our family and as I write, there is yet another baby chick calling out at my feet. We dedicate our logo to our feathered friends!
